Wedding rehearsals allow us to do far more than simply “practice” the ceremony timeline.

By attending the rehearsal, we’re able to coordinate the precise timing of entrances, transitions, and musical cues so each moment feels seamless, intentional, and emotionally impactful. It also gives us the opportunity to collaborate with your planner, officiant, photographers, and bridal party to ensure everyone feels confident and aligned.

For couples who want a more personalized experience, rehearsals also open the door for creative musical moments. With the rehearsal, we have time to create perfectly timed entrances and extended transitions to custom cues and unique musical touches designed specifically around your ceremony.

Rehearsal attendance is offered as a service in our Hydrangea Package but can be added on to any package.

1. Consider your guest count.

For intimate weddings with fewer than 20 guests, a solo violinist can create a beautifully romantic atmosphere. For larger celebrations, we typically recommend a trio or string quartet to provide a fuller musical presence that complements the size of your event.

2. Think about your music selections.

Your repertoire plays a significant role in choosing your ensemble. A string quartet is especially well suited for classical selections because its four instruments can capture the different musical parts of the original compositions. For modern and pop music, a duet can be a wonderful choice. However, if you're dreaming of that lush, romantic Bridgerton sound, a string quartet is what brings that signature richness to life.

3. Understand how each instrument contributes to the sound.

Think of a traditional rock band. You have a singer, guitarist, bassist, and drummer, each contributing something unique to the music. Remove one, and the overall sound changes.

String ensembles work similarly. Our professional musicians can thoughtfully arrange your favorite songs to sound beautiful with just one or two instruments, but each additional musician introduces another musical voice, creating greater depth, harmony, and richness.

It's the same reason orchestras can feature 80 or more musicians. Every instrument contributes another layer to the musical experience.
